What do you mean: “My money?”

It’s very evident that armies cannot win wars without the logistical support for weapons, transportation, food, lodging, medical services, mail from home, military intelligence, etc.
Likewise, on the home front, many a housewife, when she is able to be a housewife, has countless task and efforts to provide so that others can go out and earn the family support. Therefore it is very short-sighted to think that it’s the husband who “earns the money” and that consequently the money is “his.” That nonsense neglects to consider the substantial contribution of his logistical partner. Both partners earn the money and the money belongs to both. Better said, it belongs to the “family” since the offspring have a right to benefit from that wealth as well.
Only the macho mentality, in its Neanderthal stage of development would consider that the woman totally devoted to the affairs of a household is a “kept” woman. A kept woman? Please! A kept woman? Indeed! That type of mental deficiency cries out for a scientific investigation and men who proclaim their rights with vulgarities and use of their physical prowess should undergo urgent psychological testing.
It is no small task to care for a newborn, during his or her wakeful moments , with their middle of the nights feedings, never mind that these come after nine longs months of discomfort and nausea. My own mother use to muse that maternity is a condition that lasts nine months but recovery lasts a lifetime.
I am amazed at that continued love women have towards men who mistreat them.
Domestic chores are endless, even with the help of a supportive spouse. Every day is a never ending tedious series of meals, cleaning, washing, ironing, bathing, taking and picking up children, checking their homework, shopping for food and other necessities, eight thousand other things. Job requirements? A multitude of high skills, willingness to work hard, an immense capacity for love. Job hours? Twenty-four hours a day.
“My money, my money,” Those who proclaim this, proclaim their insecurities. It is no secret that those with feelings of inferiority use aggressive behavior to feign superiority.
My humble task is to ask God to grant some of these men the courage to admit their errors in thinking and to accept the love their wives promised them, the eternal love their wives promised them. And not kill it. That acceptance is well worth it.
